31. Uluslararası Bahar Festivali;

Değerli Mensuplarımız, Öğrencilerimiz ve Mezunlarımız,

 

ODTÜ 31. Uluslararası Bahar Festivali bu yıl, 10-13 Mayıs 2017 günlerinde yapılacaktır. Bu yıl etkinlik günlerinde araç giriş-çıkışlarını, kampus içi trafik akışını ve etkinlik alanı çevresindeki park alanlarının kullanımını da içeren bazı düzenlemeler yapılmıştır.

 

Etkinlikler süresince mensup, öğrenci ve mezunlarımız dışındaki kişilerin Kampusa girmesi mümkün olmayacaktır. Genel düzenlemeler aşağıda verilmektedir.

 

Farklı taşıt pulu taşıyan araçların kampusa girişi, otopark alanları ve kampus içi trafik akışı ile ilgili düzenlemeler ayrıntılı olarak İç Hizmetler Müdürlüğü web sayfasında  (ihm.metu.edu.tr) yer almaktadır.

 

Etkinliklerin sorunsuz şekilde yapılabilmesi için tüm mensup,  öğrenci ve mezunlarımızdan, 10-13 Mayıs günlerinde:

 

- Kampusa ziyaretçi davet etmemelerini;

- Kampusa özel araçlarıyla gelmekten mümkün olduğu kadar kaçınarak, toplu taşıma

  olanaklarını ve Kampus içi ulaşım için konulacak ek seferler ring servisini

  (http://ring.metu.edu.tr) kullanmalarını;

- Uygulamalarda görevlilere yardımcı olmalarını

THE 31ST INTERNATIONAL SPRING FESTIVAL 

(MAY 10-13, 2017)

 

GENERAL ARRANGEMENTS

 

Festival Area: The festival area is defined below. The festival area and the parking areas that will be used in a limited way during the festival are given in the attachment and also on the map at www.ihm.metu.edu.tr.

 

Outdoor Areas: The outdoor areas where the festival will take place are given below. Festival areas and the parking lots to be used during the festival are presented on the attached map.

 

  • METU Shopping Center (The area which starts from the back of the ATMs and includes around the stream): There will be society and club booths for various events.
  • Stadium: To be used for evening concerts.
  • Parking Area near the Big Gym: To be used for international booths.
  • Basketball Court Near the Big Gym: To be used for Food and Gift Booths.
  • Lawn near the Tennis Courts across the Big Gym: To be used by Radio Club.
  • Front of CCC: To be used by Jazz Club.

General Arrangements:

  • During the Spring Festival (May 10-13), those who are not METU students, members or alumni (and their 1st degree relatives) will not be allowed to enter the campus.

 

  • There have been some arrangements on the use of gates A1, A4 and A7 for entering and leaving the campus, the traffic flow, ring services and on-campus parking areas during the festival. The information on the arrangements for members, students, alumni and guests can be found atwww.ihm.metu.edu.tr.

 

  • To help these arrangements be implemented smoothly, we kindly ask our members, students, alumni and guests;
    • To help the officers regarding such arrangements,

 

  • Not come to the campus with their private cars as much as possible during festival days; and to use public transport facilities,

 

 

Arrangements for Traffic Flow and Use of Campus Parking Areas:

 

  • Additional shuttle buses will be made available for the ease of transportation. The information on additional shuttle buses is given at www.tim.metu.edu.tr.

 

  • During the festival, A-4 gate will be used for entrance and exit limitedly between 10.00 am -12.00 pm.

 

  • During the festival, vehicle traffic between the A-4 gate, Department of Basic English, the Stadium and Intersection of the Chemical Engineering Department will be restricted. The arrangements are shown on the map atwww.ihm.metu.edu.tr.

 

  • During the festival, the parking areas around the Dorm Area, Tennis Courts, Gym, Personnel Houses (behind İş Bankası), Reception House, Culture and Convention Center, Cafeteria, Central Engineering Building, Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering can be used limitedly. Since different arrangements apply to different sticker holders, the members and students who have different stickers can access the information on www.ihm.metu.edu.tr.

 

  • The student car will park in the parking areas around Library and İİBF in a controlled way and after all the parking areas are full, they will be closed to service.

 

  •  The vehicles leaving the parking areas around Library and İİBF between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm will be directed to the Gates A1 and A7. Similarly, the cars parking between the Cafeteria and the Chemical Engineering intersections will leave the campus from the Chemical Engineering intersection and the gates A1 and A7. Only the staff who live in the Former Personnel Houses will be allowed to pass the Cafeteria intersection.

 

  • The cars parking in and around CCC, Personnel Houses (behind İş Bankası) and Dorm area will be directed to leave the campus through the Gates A1 and A4.

 

  • The cars that do not comply with the instructions of the officers at the gates will not be allowed to enter the campus even if they have stickers.

 

 

 

ARRANGEMENTS FOR STUDENTS

 

  • During the festival, students cannot invite visitors (except their 1st degree relatives) even if they accompany the visitors.

 

  • Disciplinary actions will be initiated if it is determined that they let other people use their METU identity cards.

 

Vehicles with Student Stickers

 

  • We strongly recommend that students should not come to the campus driving their private cars and use public transport facilities during festival days.

 

  • Additional ring services within the campus will be available on festival days. (www.tim.metu.edu.tr)

 

  • The vehicles with student stickers will be allowed to enter the campus only if the owner of the sticker is in the vehicle. Please be reminded that you are not supposed to let anyone else drive a vehicle registered in your name.

 

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with “Student Vehicle Stickers” cannot enter Campus from the Gate A-4 on May 10-11-12-13, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday between 10:00 am- 12:00 pm. Similarly, vehicles with “Student Vehicle Stickers” cannot leave the campus from the Gate A-4 between 08:00 am -11:00 pm on May 10-11-12-13.

 

  • Parking Areas: According to the arrangements  made regarding the use of the parking areas in the festival area, vehicles with Student Vehicle Stickers (Yellow or Brown) will not be allowed to park in the following areas: Dorm area, Tennis Courts, pull-offs around the Shopping Center, Big Gym, CCC, Library, Computer Center, Computer Engineering, Central Engineering Building, Civil Engineering – Coastal and Harbor, Mosque, Environmental Engineering, K-2, Chemical Engineering.

 

  • Students who have student stickers and are staying at the dorms are kindly requested to contact the Directorate of Dormitories to obtain more information about the use of the parking areas around the dorm area.

 

  • Our students may park their cars at the parking areas to the west of the Alley (in the direction of Gate A-7). For this purpose, additional parking areas will be designated in the Gate A-2 area. In addition, after 6:00 pm, the parking areas of Teknokent and the Foundation School will be available for our guests to park their vehicles. There will be non-stop ring services between these areas and the festival area. (www.tim.metu.edu.tr)

 

  • Vehicles with Student Vehicle stickers are to leave these parking areas and the campus by 12:00 pm. Vehicle stickers of the vehicles not leaving these areas despite the warnings of the officers at these hours will be canceled for 15 days.

 

 

ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEMBERS

 

 

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Please keep in your mind that you are not supposed to let other people drive the vehicles bearing the stickers registered in your name.

 

  • Please do not use the Gate A-4 if possible while entering or leaving the campus and do not park in the parking areas in the Festival area (please see. Map).

 

  • Please do not invite visitors on festival days (May 10-13), if possible; and do not organize meetings where visitors are to attend, if not obligatory.

 

  • Please inform the visitors beforehand about entering or leaving the campus only through the Gates A-1 and A-7 as they will be allowed to use only these gates.

 

  • To avoid delays and problems at the gates, please inform the gates A-1 or A-7 of your visitors before. (For entering through the gate A-1: Telephone for visitors on foot or using public transport: 2755 and 2763; Telephone for visitors coming via their private vehicles: 2751(For entering through the gate A-7: Telephone for visitors on foot/using public transport/private vehicles: 2757) (Informing our members of the visitors who have not been notified to the gates before and obtaining information about them at rush hours causes unnecessary delays and problems).

 

  • Please help the officers who steer traffic at the Gates and within the Campus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ARRANGEMENTS FOR ALUMNI

 

 

  • The vehicles with Alumni Stickers will be allowed to enter the campus only if the owner of the sticker is in the vehicle. Please keep in mind that you should not let other people drive the vehicle registered in your name.

 

  • The vehicles of our alumni that do not bear stickers will be allowed to enter the campus through the gates A-1 and A-7 after 7:00 pm during the festival with a daily visitor card.

 

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Our alumni who will come to the campus using public transportation or on foot can enter the campus upon identity check.

 

  • Inviting visitors: We particularly request our alumni not to invite visitors until 7:00 pm on festival days. The alumni who will come after 7:00 pm can enter the campus together with maximum two visitors (1st degree relatives) upon identity checks.

 

  • Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with Alumni Vehicle Stickers cannot enter Campus from the Gate A-4 on May 10-11-12, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday between 10:00 am- 12:00 pm and on Saturday, May 13 between 8:00 am- 12:00 pm through the Gate A-4. Similarly, vehicles with Alumni Stickers cannot leave the campus from the Gate A-4 between 08:00 am -11:00 pm on May 10-11-12-13.

 

  • Parking Areas: According to the arrangements made regarding the use of the parking areas in the festival area (see Map), vehicles with Alumni Vehicle Stickers will not be allowed to park in the following areas:  Tennis Courts, pull-offs around the Shopping Center, Big Gym, CCC, Library, Computer Center, Computer Engineering, Central Engineering Building, Civil Engineering – Coastal and Harbor, Mosque, Environmental Engineering, K-2, Chemical Engineering. 

 

  • The alumni may park their cars at the parking areas to the west of the Alley (in the direction of Gate A-7). For this purpose, additional parking areas will be designated in the Gate A-2 area. In addition, after 6:00 pm, the parking areas of Teknokent and the Foundation School will be available for our alumni to park their vehicles. There will be non-stop ring services between these areas and the festival area.

 

  • Vehicles bearing or not bearing Alumni Vehicle stickers are to leave these parking areas and the campus by 12:00 pm. In case of violation, the vehicle stickers will be canceled.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ARRANGEMENTS FOR VISITOR STICKER HOLDERS

(Vehicles with Visitor, Visitor 2 and College stickers)

 

 

  • The vehicles with Visitor Stickers will be allowed to enter the campus only if the owner of the sticker is in the vehicle. Please keep in mind that you should not let other people drive the vehicle registered in your name.

 

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Visitor card holders are especially requested not to invite visitors on campus during the festival.

 

  • Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with Visitor Vehicle Stickers cannot enter Campus from the Gate A-4 on May 10-11-12, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday between 10:00 am- 12:00 pm and on Saturday, May 13 between 8:00 am - 12:00 pm through the Gate A-4. Similarly, vehicles with Visitor Stickers cannot leave the campus from the Gate A-4 between 08:00 am - 11:00 pm on May 10-11-12-13.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT METU MEMBERS, STUDENTS OR ALUMNI

 

 

  • During the Spring Festival (May 10-13), those who are not METU students, members or alumni will not be allowed to enter the campus except the conditions specified at www.ihm.metu.edu.tr.

 

 

  • The vehicle owners coming to the campus as the visitors of METU academic or administrative staff will be allowed to enter the campus after informing the Gates A-1 (Eskişehir Road) and A-7 (Bilkent Road) before. Visitor vehicles must follow the traffic instructions, park in the places indicated by the officers and not use the Gate A-4.

 

 

ARRANGEMENTS FOR TECHNOPOLIS STICKER HOLDERS

 

  • The vehicles with Teknokent Stickers will be allowed to enter the campus only if the owner of the sticker is in the vehicle.

 

  • Please keep in mind that you should not let other people drive the vehicle registered in your name.

 

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Teknokent staff are especially requested not to invite visitors on campus during the festival.

 

  • Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with Teknokent Vehicle Stickers cannot enter Campus from the Gate A-4 on May 10-11-12, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday between 10:00 am- 12:00 pm and on Saturday, May 13 between 8:00 am- 12:00 pm through the Gate A-4. Similarly, vehicles with Teknokent Stickers cannot leave the campus from the Gate A-4 between 08:00 am -11:00 pm on May 10-11-12-13.

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with Foundation School Stickers cannot enter Campus from the Gate A-4 on May 10-11-12, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday between 10:00 am- 12:00 pm and on Saturday, May 13 between 8:00 am- 12:00 pm through the Gate A-4. Similarly, vehicles with Foundation School Stickers cannot leave the campus from the Gate A-4 between 08:00 am -11:00 pm on May 10-11-12-13.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR TUBITAK - UZAY - SAGE - MAM VEHICLE STICKER HOLDERS

 

  • The vehicles that have TUBITAK-UZAY-SAGE-MAM Stickers will be allowed to enter the campus only if the owner of the sticker is in the vehicle.

 

  • Please keep in mind that you should not let other people drive the vehicle registered in your name.

 

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with TUBITAK-UZAY-SAGE-MAM Stickers cannot enter Campus from the Gate A-4 on May 10-11-12, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday between 10:00 am- 12:00 pm and on Saturday, May 13 between 8:00 am- 12:00 pm through the Gate A-4. Similarly, vehicles with TUBITAK-UZAY-SAGE-MAM Stickers cannot leave the campus from the Gate A-4 between 08:00 am -11:00 pm on May 10-11-12-13.

 

  • Parking Areas: According to the arrangements made regarding the use of the parking areas in the festival area (see Map), vehicles with TUBITAK-UZAY-SAGE-MAM Vehicle Stickers will not be allowed to park in the following areas: Tennis Courts, pull-offs around the Shopping Center, Big Gym, CCC, Library, Computer Center, Computer Engineering, Central Engineering Building, Civil Engineering – Coastal and Harbor, Mosque, Environmental Engineering, K-2, Chemical Engineering.

 

  • The vehicles bearing TUBITAK-UZAY-SAGE-MAM stickers may park at the parking areas to the west of the Alley (in the direction of Gate A-7). For this purpose, additional parking areas will be designated in the Gate A-2 area. In addition, after 6:00 pm, the parking areas of Teknokent and the Foundation School will be available for our alumni to park their vehicles. There will be non-stop ring services between these areas and the festival area.

 

  • Vehicles bearing TUBITAK-UZAY-SAGE-MAM Vehicle stickers are to leave these parking areas and the campus by 12:00 pm. In case of violation, the vehicle stickers will be canceled.

 

 

ARRANGEMENTS FOR ENTERPRISES

(Shopping Malls, Cafeterias etc.)

 

 

  • The vehicles with Enterprise Stickers will be allowed to enter the campus only if the owner of the sticker is in the vehicle.

 

  • Please keep in mind that you should not let other people drive the vehicle registered in your name.

 

  • Please do not allow persons who are/are not METU members, students, alumni to enter the campus in your vehicle without identity check.

 

  • Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with Enterprise Vehicle Stickers cannot enter Campus from the Gate A-4 on May 10-11-12, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday between 10:00 am- 12:00 pm and on Saturday, May 13 between 8:00 am- 12:00 pm through the Gate A-4. Similarly, vehicles with Enterprise Stickers cannot leave the campus from the Gate A-4 between 08:00 am -11:00 pm on May 10-11-12-13.

 

  • Parking Areas: According to the arrangements made regarding the use of the parking areas in the festival area (see Map), vehicles with Enterprise Vehicle Stickers will not be allowed to park in the following areas: Tennis Courts, pull-offs around the Shopping Center, Big Gym, CCC, Library, Computer Center, Computer Engineering, Central Engineering Building, Civil Engineering – Coastal and Harbor, Mosque, Environmental Engineering, K-2, Chemical Engineering.

 

  • The vehicles bearing Enterprise stickers may park at the parking areas to the west of the Alley (in the direction of Gate A-7). For this purpose, additional parking areas will be designated in the Gate A-2 area. In addition, after 6:00 pm, the parking areas of Teknokent and the Foundation School will be available for our alumni to park their vehicles. There will be non-stop ring services between these areas and the festival area.

 

  • Vehicles bearing Enterprise Vehicle stickers are to leave these parking areas and the campus by 12:00 pm. In case of violation, the vehicle stickers will be canceled.

 

  • Administrative and legal actions will be initiated for the enterprises that are detected to sell food and beverages and other products out of the scope of the activities specified in lease contracts or not allowed to be sold.
